Mr. William L. Salyers
Lincolnton, GA—Memorial Services for Mr. William L. Salyers, 70, of Point Pleasant Road, Lincolnton, Georgia, who entered into rest March 5, 2010, will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Bel-Ridge Baptist Church. Rev. Earl Welch officiating.
Mr. Salyers was a native of Kenova, West Virginia, a former resident of Belvedere, having made Lincolnton his home for the past 4 years. He was a member of Bel-Ridge Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, former Chairman of the Deacons, Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee and Royal Ambassadors Leader. Mr. Salyers was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from International Paper Corporation and was the husband of the late Carolyn Billiter Salyers.
Survivors include his wife, Jerri M. Salyers, a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Angie Salyers, Belvedere, two daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Bill Parker, Lancaster, SC and Cara and Clay Lewis, North Augusta; a brother, Robert Earl Salyers, Huntington, WV; a sister, Jenny Pate; Denham Springs, LA; ten grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
